A complete set of 8 (eight) cards, printed specially for the original 1975 release in cinemas of one of Spielberg’s early masterpieces: “Jaws”.
The hugely successful and thrilling movie was inevitably followed by a string of increasingly inferior sequels (all of which has lobby and/or front of house cards printed), with only “Jaws 2” (1978) worthy of any genuine merit. To coincide with the release of Jaws 2, a smaller set of 4 cards were printed for “Jaws”, as selected cinemas in the USA offered special “Double-bill” style screenings of both movies. Presumably due to the lack of space in American cinema lobby display cases, this resulted in there only being 4 cards in the American set for the sequel…
