An incomplete, damaged set of 13 colour cards from the 1968 movie starring Anthony Quinn and Laurence Olivier.
Collector’s note: Unfortunately cards #1, #10 and #15 are missing from this set. All cards have pin-holes to the corners and various other instances of damage.
Card #12 of this set (present) is particularly unusual, as it is presented in a cropped “Widescreen” style format, resulting in an even more striking image and white spaces above and below the central (wide angle lens) image. Stunning!
Trivia: If you look carefully, due to what must have been an embarrassing error at the time, most of these cards have a small label on the end of the film’s title (correcting “Fishermen” with “Fisherman”!). However, the small correcting sticker is not present on all of the cards in this batch – leaving the original typo / grammatical mistake still on show. Oops!
