More press kit photographs acquired

Condorman (1981) Press Kit Photograph

Black and White, Clear as Crystal!

Just a micro update to share the good news that over the coming weeks you can expect to see additional vintage press kit photographs being showcased here on the Gallery website.

The Dream Is Always The Same

As regular visitors will know, the outright focus of this project has always been (and will continue to be) cinema lobby cards. However, due to the closely related nature and similarities (size, provenance, etc.), from time to time press kit imagery is also exhibited here too - for fans and collectors to enjoy.

For those new to these pieces of memorabilia, the vast majority of press kit pictures were printed in black and white, on glossy photographic paper - and nearly always 10" x 8" in size. One key difference compared to lobby cards (other than the lack of colour) is that press photographs quite often vary between landscape and portrait format (whereas lobby cards were nearly always the former) - and it was also not unusual for press sheet to include more than one scene from a film, on a single 10" x 8" piece.

Whilst typically not as desirable (to some collectors) compared to lobby cards, these now also defunct pieces of ephemera remain firmly of interest to many - including those who specialise in acquiring memorabilia relating to a specific film, performer or franchise.

Stay tuned - and enjoy these upcoming additions to the Gallery!
