Backdraft (1991) [UK]

A complete set of eight cards from the British release of Ron Howard’s big-budget and star-studded arsonist mystery/drama “Backdraft”, released back in 1991.

You may be surprised to learn that this hit movie did actually eventually receive a sequel (by way of “Backdraft 2” in 2019). Unfortunately however this was poorly received (and no doubt poorly conceived…) – and was a “direct-to-video” affair, debuting on DVD, Blu-ray and streaming services. On the plus side, Stephen Baldwin and Donald Sutherland were back for the ride – reprising their roles from the original (albeit almost 30 years later!). The original story for the sequel was also penned by the writer of the original movie Gregory Widen – which also ensured some continuity in terms of characters and “lore”…
