To Live and Die in L.A. (1985) [UK]

A complete set of eight cards from from the British release of William Friedkin’s super counterfeiting crime thriller: To Live and Die in LA. (1985). Starring William Petersen (Manhunter), Willem Dafoe and others. The story is based on an original novel of the same name, written by Gerald Petievich.

These are 14″ x 11″ cards printed with a less-common flat full-colour background (orange) including the memorable typeface logo to the left side of each card. Somewhat surprising to see no stills representing the incredible car chase sequence, but nevertheless a great selection of vibrant scenes are depicted.

Over in a Germany a larger set was issued to market and promote the release. These were printed on oversized perforated sheets, on thinner paper stock.
