A batch of six glossy black and white photographs from the original press kit for the fourth and sadly final Superman movie starring the late Christopher Reeve (singular!!).
Unfortunately despite having just about all of the original key cast members on board (Valerie Perrine sure dodged a bullet on this one…!), the film was a critical and commercial disaster – rightly panned by critics and with a lowly sub 4.0 rating over on the Internet Movie Database in present times (having failed to belatedly pick-up a cult following either, it would appear..).
Perhaps saddest of all, the core (well-intended) story for this unarguably weak sequel was based on an idea by Reeve himself – who went on to share co-screenwriting credit on the film, in addition of course to leading the cast. A sad end to a great series of Superman movies (yes – for me that includes Superman III).
