A complete set of eight cards from the feature-length Blue Thunder movie, starring the late Roy Scheider.
During the 1980’s a fierce battle for the attention of television viewers and moviegoers took place up in the skies! That battle was between Blue Thunder (movie: 1983; TV series: 1984) and Airwolf (TV series: 1984~1987). In actual fact, Airwolf also received a feature-length presentation – but this was merely multiple episodes of the television series, re-edited somewhat and knitted together for a longer running time. Each ‘copter battled crime, in a similar manner to Street Hawk (police motorcycle), Knight Rider (talking, self-driving car) and of course The A-Team (soldiers of fortune!).
Just about all of these classic shows were screened on Saturday afternoons / early evenings here in the UK, having been snapped up from American distributors following successful runs on U.S. networks.
